These images are about the profound and ordinary questions we confront as part of the generic human experience: the struggle and loss that come with growth, and the humility and grace that come with acceptance.

Ultimately they're about permutation and the selves we wish to know. Loosely based on characters of classic Greek and English Literature, these images seek to relay familiar stories of myth, moral resolve (and unresolve) and ultimately our perpetual quest to ascertain meaning.

The subjects in Stories are photographed while partially or completely submerged. The images are printed as gelatin silver prints in a lith-based, homemade developing solution and archivally processed.
